Yes, You Can Mount Your Loader by Yourself—No Heavy Lifting Required
One of the biggest perks of the Little Buck Loader is how easy it is to install—even by yourself. You don’t need a second set of hands or special equipment. With just your tractor and a little patience, you can go from pallet to mounted loader in under an hour.
In this video, Nick shows how to use your tractor’s own hydraulics to raise the loader into position:

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown so you can follow along:
Step-by-Step: How to Mount YouR Front-End Loader by Yourself
Step 1: Pull up to the pallet: Line your tractor up with the palletized loader. Pull in as close and centered as you can to minimize repositioning later.
Step 2: Connect your hydraulic lines: The loader arrives compressed for shipping. To open it up, you’ll need to connect the hoses correctly:

Step 3: Start the tractor: Power up the tractor and slowly open the loader using the hydraulic controls. This allows the arms to extend and positions the loader for mounting.
Step 4: Shut off the tractor & lock out the pins: With the loader open, turn off the tractor and engage the spring-loaded pins in the “locked-out” position. Reposition the tractor as needed so it’s ready to “receive” the loader arms.
Step 5: Raise the loader into position: You’ve got two options here:
Gently lift the loader manually above the weight bracket
ORUse the hydraulics to lift the arms until the mounting points align
Step 6: Release the pins and secure: With everything lined up, release the pins and restart the tractor. The loader will tip down, engage with the front bracket, and the spring-loaded pins will snap into place.
And that’s it—you’re ready to go.
Pro Tip: Make sure you’ve got ballast weight in the back before putting your loader to work. A weight bar or weight basket will keep your setup stable and your transmission happy. Learn more about ballast weight here →
