"Basically, the Best Investment" - Installing a 30' Pool with LBL on a JD x700

Doug in Indianapolis, Indiana, purchased his Little Buck Loader for his JD x700 back in 2019, and we recently caught up with up on how he’s been using his loader.

“My 30 foot swimming pool install has been my biggest project. I had 12 yards of sand dropped and 30 yards of soil to move from my driveway to my backyard to re-landscape my yard. 4-5 hours every night for 4 months straight plus weekends. By far my largest project with my LBL,” he said.

Lately he’s using his loader for regular property maintenance, such as lifting his swimming pools sand filter when opening and closing the pool for the season. He also uses it to lift things out of his pickup truck bed; with the center hook, he can run a chain. He’s found it useful for tree clean-up and as a tool box for carrying his saws or shovels to the work area.

“Basically, it’s the best investment I could have made to preserve my back. LBL is for the money the most versatile attachment you can buy. The only limits you have are the limits of the tractor it’s connected to. I can’t think of a time that the loader was ever strained but with 500 pounds of ballast on the back of the tractor I still lift the rear wheels off the ground and the loader still seems like it could lift way more.”

“I’m planning on a gravel driveway repair this year which will include my LBL to back drag and smooth the gravel. I may need to find some teeth to attach to the bucket but I think if I do that this loader will perform flawlessly.”
