Trouble Mounting Your Front-End Loader? Here's a Quick Fix.

Adjusting your FEL to attach to your John Deere garden tractor.

Every so often, we hear from customers having a little trouble getting their Little Buck or Little Bull Loader to mount correctly to their John Deere garden tractor. Don’t worry, this is an easy fix, and we designed our system with this exact issue in mind.

Our loaders are designed to mount directly on top of the John Deere front weight bracket. Now, when these tractors come out of the factory, the placement of that weight bracket can vary by as much as 1/4 to 1/2 an inch (Deere’s quick-connect system doesn’t rely on the bracket).

To accommodate these small variations, we’ve designed our mounting system with adjustable set bolts and lock nuts. Here’s how it works:

How to Adjust the Pins for a Perfect Fit

  1. Start by pulling out the spring-loaded pins.

  2. Mount the loader on top of the front weight bracket.

  3. If the pins don’t immediately click into place, loosen or tighten the lock nuts on the set bolts as needed.

  4. Give the loader a little jiggle — often, that’s all it takes for the pins to slide into the bracket holes.

And that’s it! You’re ready to get to work.
